Ridgemont At-A-Glance

Ridgemont Montessori School Facts:

  • Co-educational
  • Approximately 50 students
  • Ages 18 months – 6 years

Classrooms:

  • 1 Young Children's Community (YCC) class (18 months – 36 months)
  • 2 Primary classes (3 – 6 years)
  • Each class is led by an AMI trained guide. There is also a Teacher’s Assistant present in each classroom.
  • In addition to their Bachelor’s degrees, all of Ridgemont’s guides hold the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) Primary diploma having completed their year of study at an AMI teacher training course. Several of our teachers also hold a Master of Education degree.

Hours and Schedule:

  • YCC(18 months - 36 months): 8:45 am  – 12:00 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
  • Half-Day Primary (3 and 4 year olds): 8:45am – 12:00pm, Monday - Friday
  • Primary Full Day (5 - 6 year olds): 8:45am – 3:00pm, Monday - Thursday and 8:45am – 12:00pm on Fridays
  • "Lunch Bunch" option (4 year olds): 12:00pm – 1:00pm, Monday - Thursday
  • Afternoons at Ridgemont (3 and 4 year olds): 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Monday - Thursday
  • The academic year is from September to early June.
